Random Stuff..........

A couple weeks ago, Grandpa taught my four year old how to make paper airplanes (at church). I thought it was so cute and funny. Now my 4 year old loves making paper planes out of anything and everything. I laughed so hard the other day when I came across this.....

It's the instructions out of my Tampon box. Oh the things kids do!

Here are some of my new digital scrapbooking pages. I used the FREE Harvest Spice kit from Shabby Princess. Gotta love free stuff, especially when it's sooo darn cute.

I'm really loving this digital scrapbooking thing. It's so much less mess, money and time. I can't give up the card making though, I still love to buy a pretty piece of paper and fun embellishments.

Ok, now I need all of your opinions. I was going to paint this little hutch/cabinet thing black and put it in my kitchen. My hubby carried it into the kitchen for me today and now I'm not so sure it goes. Tell me what you think.

Black would look great with your cabinets or what about an accent color....like tan or red!!! Just a thought. You have great taste. I am finding paint is my new best friend.

I agree with Lacy. It might be pretty with another color - not looking so predictable. I love the hutch - you have alot of my taste!

I like the cabinet and I think it would look great painted. But you know how I love to paint things so maybe I'm biased. ;-)

Good morning Nicole :)

I laughed out loud at that airplane. Kids are so funny :)

I say go for it on the cabinet. If you don't like it black, you can always paint it again :)

The paper airplane is way too funny!

The cabinet is really pretty and I'm sure it would look nice black. It appears to be a little too small for that wall, but if you have other stuff planned to put around it, it would look great.

I think it would look great black...too me it seems a bit small for that space...

I haven't gotten into the digital scrapbooking thing. I love your pictures though. They are always beautiful. I think I need to see more of the area to decide if it works in the room. From what I see it looks great.

paper airplane? funny

hutch? not sure about black. i know your cabinets are black, but that piece may lose some of the detail on the front if it's painted black. i know i'm in the minority... good luck with the decision!

Not sure I like it there, but need a bigger picture to see the whole space and how it fits in.

Love the digital pages what cute pics.

Too funny about the airplane, but I could see my son doing that years ago.

i had that cabinet. I loved it. Except i didn't have hard floor for it to sit on, so on the carpet, it always tipped. Drove me crazy!!!
Because it's fake wood, you are going to have to prime before you paint. If you don't, it will peel off, trust me, I know...
How many cards do I have to make and I need your address so I can send them to you.
I am assuming you want to send it to my email.

Let me come over and look at the cabinet--it's too bad the door doesn't open on the other side, you think it's switchable?

That is too funny about his paper airplane! I think it would look cute black. Maybe with a chair beside it to take up some more room/wall space. Cant wait to see what you come up with! I am really enjoying your blog! Julie

i think it would look great black, to match everything else you have. You could put a fake tall plant by it maybe. What do I know about decorating??

thanks for stopping by my blog.
It's always nice to meet new people & make new friends.
I think the cabinet would look good black, but I really like black.
I've been trying to decide whether or not I should paint my kitchen cabinets black or not.
Maybe I should post a picture & do a pole on it.

I am new to your blog, I came through kristi's blog.
The paper airplane is too funny.

I am in the stages of painting everything in my house too. If my kids do not watch out they are next. I think the cabinet would look great painted black.

I love the paper airplane. Too funny. I was happy to see my fellow blogger posting scrapbook pages too!! I'm not a decorator so I would be no help on the cabinet.

It would look GREAT painted black. You should definitely do that. But, I think it's too small for that wall. UNLESS, you maybe hang some cute prints on the wall next to it. And maybe a viney plant on top of it.

OH my stars, WAIT! Paint the side of it with chalkboard paint and let the kids use it as a chalkboard OR write a cool quote...or the week's menu!!

That tampon airplane reminds me of a prank my room mate and I played on another room mate of ours, involving tampons. I've felt bad about it ever since... I hope she wasn't scarred???

Sorry...

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The paper airplane is funny. When my kiddos first learned to make them, they made bunches and I found them everywhere. Behind chairs, on top of cabinets, etc. If they couldn't reach it, they would just make more. NO!

Though the cabinet seems small for the wall, I agree with Julie that a chair (with some artwork above it)would balance the wall and be lovely. Black or some other complementary color would be great.

Ok, I don't know anything about digital scrapbooking. Do you print them off or buy them & have them sent to you?

Hi Nicole,

I really like the digital scrapbooking! I think I am going to give it a try. I downloaded a bunch of stuff from the shabby princess website. Let me know if you find any more cool free stuff!

Have you found a great way to print off your pages?
