Random Post Friday

Sorry, I didn't have time to put together the greatest post for today, because yesterday we were doing this..........

We teach the children in our family how to drive wave runners at an early age :)
(My daughter and cute little niece)

He really did had fun, he was embarrassed I took a picture of him with his face covered w/chocolate.
Ha, you actually thought I'd show a picture of myself in a swimsuit. Yea right, If I did that you'd never come back!

I made a carrot cake for my hubby's birthday. I decided to share the recipe with you all. Don't let my mom know though because she had to do some heavy bartering to get this recipe from a neighbor that owned a little bakery shop. It is seriously the best cake.

Can you tell I've used this recipe a lot? Like a dork, I took pictures of the whole making it process, but forgot to take a picture of the finished product. One quick tip though, I don't have a food processor so it's way easier just to use these pre shredded carrots from the grocery store. It takes one whole bag.

Now just some random pictures from this week.

So this is what happens when I try blogging when the kids are not yet down for naps. Yea, wont be doing that again any time soon.

Since the kids are out of school, my daughter has been doing her own hair (she's only 6). She was so proud of this little hair do, she wanted me to take a picture.

Now just a couple photos for inspiration.........

Another family tree made by my super talented sister n' law, someday I'll get my act together and do a tutorial on this since a couple of you asked.

Have you ever heard of quilling? It's the art of rolling paper. My sister n' law made this too, I've always admired how intricate it was. You'll have to click on the picture to get a better view.

Ok, I'm going to bed now. Sorry if there are lots of typo's it's late! Have a great weekend and I'll see ya on Monday, maybe Saturday if I have time.

I love random pictures! As much as I love all the decor inspiration there is just something about everyday "stuff" that makes me feel like I'm not alone in this boat that we moms are rowing! You gottal love kids.

:)Rachel

I would love a tutorial on the family tree. Cute pics on this post. I love where you little guy ended up in the tub! That little old lady who made your hubby that afghan must have thought the world of that young man to do that.

Yummo on the carrot cake! It is my daughter's favorite. Wish I had time to make it for her this weekend while she is home, but we have a wedding to attend. Bummer!

Thank you for your great suggestions on my kitchen. I went back and looked at your cabinets and they are sooo beautiful. I wish I could pull off black in my easy bake kitchen. However, it would look like a cave.LOL Although, when we remodel and extend I may do black.
Blessings~~

Hey, I hope you are feeling better. I also hope that your family doesn't get this or it will be like when everyone had the flu. Its fine that you shared my carrot cake recipe. Anyone that tries it will never buy one again. Its easy as heck and better than any other I've tried. Well, take care, keep bloging, I love to look at it. Mom

Hi! I love the family tree. I remember seeing it at your SIL during the parade of homes. I have always wanted to make one. Do you have any advise or tricks to share? Where did you find a branch like that? How did you get it so flat?
Hey, I have been wanting to blog the pattern for the purse card holder. Check in on my blog in a week or so. I will post it just for you :)
