My first blogging award!

I am so excited, yesterday I received my first blog award. I received my award from Songbirdtiff. She is the sweetest girl and I have loved getting to know her better through our blogs.

Ok, here are the rules and remember if you already have the award just accept and that's all you have to do.

1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented her/him with the award.

4. The award winner and one who has given the prize have to show the link "Arte y Pico" blog so everyone will know the origin of this award.

5. Show these rules.

Here are my awards in no particular order.

Ritch in love - She's a flight attendant and always has the coolest pictures from her travel, she also has way good taste in clothes!

Kaysville Momma - If you want tips on cooking, coupon shopping, or want to hear the story of adopting their two sweet kids, this is the place to go.

Shiner Circus - This is where I go for a good laugh, or to see some cool refurbished furniture.

How did I get here - Megan, is an incredible mom, decorator, thrift shopper, scrapbooker, and flute player, we actually played the flute together in college.

The Hoyts House - Tausha cracks me up, she's hilarious. She's an awesome decorator, and I'm way jealous of her Cricut machine, she does the funnest things with it.

And there you have it, some of my favorite blogs.

Ok, moving on. Yesterday I had my monthly scrapbooking class. It's a pretty good deal, every month you buy ten dollars of stuff out of the Close to my Heart catalog, and then at the class you get to make a two page layout and two cute cards.

This isn't the layout I made last night, but I wanted to show one we made, that I've actually put some pictures on. I still need to work on the journaling.

We made the cutest cards too. I've learned not to actually give them away, because they're nice to get ideas from

The picture doesn't do justice to the second one, it is so stinkin cute. I can say that without being braggy because I just copied someone else's. The white card in the middle comes out and that's what you write on.

I have also almost finished my digital scrapbooking template album, so check back tomorrow to see the finished product.

Those are very cute. I'm in complete awe of dedicated scrapbookers. I try and I try and I just can't keep with it. Love what you did!

And vintage lawn chair! You're so lucky. I've been on the hunt for some for the longest time. Those buggers are expensive! I keep hoping I'll find someone who put them out for the trash.

Cute pages and cards--I especially like the first page you posted. One of my goals for this weekend is to organize my scrapping stuff so that I can get scrapping again!

you are so sweet! I am flattered that you would bestow an award upon little old me! You rock girl!

So-You only have to spend 10 bucks on close to my heart stuff and you make a 2pager and 2 cards? No fair!! I want to do it!!
You know-we really don't live that far apart. Maybe I should come with you next time. I could meet you and then maybe some of your talent in the paper dept. would rub off on me!!

Congrats on your award! What awesome cards you made.

P.S. I knew my daughter was different by around 4 -5 years old but she was diagnosed with ADHD. I never found out she had Aspergers (Spectrum Disorder of autism) until she was 10 after much persistance with the doctors.
