The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!!!

I think this must have been how my son was feeling yesterday. Monday night he announced that his teacher had sent him to the principals office. I was like, what kind of teacher sends a kindergartner to the principals office on his first day of school. I asked him lots of questions trying to decided if this was just some story he had come up with, after about ten minutes of questioning I decided he was telling the truth. He said some kid pushed him down so the teacher sent them both of them to the office.

I know probably every parent thinks this, but my son really isn't the type to get in fights with kids. If anything he's the biggest pushover you've ever met. He lets his two year old brother pick on him for heck sakes. Needless to say as the night went on the more upset I was. But, that night and morning his story stayed the same. I decided that the next day I would go and talk to his teacher.

So that day I got my act together and went into talk to his teacher. I walked in and said, "So, Mr M. here said he was sent to the principals office yesterday. " She said, "No he wasn't, she looked at him and said, Mr. M. "Did you get sent to the principals office." Right away he pipes up and tells me it was just a joke. I wanted to wring his little neck. I felt like such a dork. So............he won't be playing with any friends this week.

Later that day my husband decided to take the kids on a walk and give me a little break. About a half hour later I hear Mr. M screaming his guts out. He does this often so I sorta ignored it. I figured he'd gotten in trouble or something. Then my husband yells for me to come and help. Poor guy had biffed if BAD on his bike and was all scraped up. He looked awful, I'll prove it. Luckily for us my husband had bought him a helmet just a few days earlier or it could have been so much worse.

I felt so bad for him, you could tell it hurt so much. All he wanted that night was for me to rub his back, he said it made if feel better.

I kept him home from school today, you could tell he just hurt, he seems to be doing lots better this afternoon, lets hope tomorrow is a better day!

I did get in a little sewing yesterday before, or I guess in between all the drama, here is a sneak peek. That fabric is called Gobble Gobble, and is by Sandi Gervais, it's in stores now. I better get my act together since fall is just a couple week away, I so excited!!!

I hurt just looking at his little face! I've seen this line in stores and I'm excited to see what you're doing with it. Kids....at least you didn't go in all angry at the teacher before you found out the truth! Hopefully he learned his lessons. Oh the stories I could tell you about mine, lol, but I won't bz right now we're on a good streak and I don't want to mess it up! Me

Let hope the teacher doesn't think you did that to him cause he played that joke on you! Ok... I am totally kidding! What a funny kid to do that to his pregnant mommy:-)

Oh that is so sad! That looks like it hurts. Our sons sound a lot alike! Must be the age. I could see my little guy pulling a prank like that at school and oh, the moaning and wailing when he gets hurt! If he stubs his toe, he screams so loud that I have to immediately ask, "What!? Did you cut your toe off? Did you break a leg? What!" I'm not very sympathetic at first either. Thank goodness for the helmet. Hope he feels better soon though.

I love Gobble Gobble, I just haven't been able to get my hands on it yet. Actually I am so glad you said Gobble Gobble. I have the perfect quilt pattern for it! Oh, I knew you rocked, thank you so much (I know your like... what for? - but that quilt will be perfect in that design! - it will look yummy).

Sorry about the kiddo, mine is only two, and has only had minor scrapes on her knees. I don't even want to think about the day that happens to her. So sorry. Hope all gets better soon. Is he still at the age that bandaids and ice cream heal everything? Maybe not that was kinda bad. TTFN! Julie

That is too funny...going to the Pricipal's office! The only time I can ever imagine him going to the Principal's office is if he becomes one! What a cutie!

I was just glad his lips were still so nice so Grandma could steal a kiss from him. He is such a sweetie! I still can't get over his story telling. Maybe he'll be an author one day.
I got to steal a peak at what you are making and have to tell everyone, I love it! Can't wait for it to be done.

Oh my heart...what a terrible little fall. I hope he recovers quickly and good thing he had the helmet on.

LOL what a character to say he was sent to the principals office. What would have prompted to even know about that the first day of kindergarten? LOL That is a story that will be told all of his life.

Material Girls is in South Jordan by the City Building. South of 106 South and off of Redwood road.
Nicole if you love fabric and the upscale designers for quilting fabric ...like your darling Gobble Gobble fabric you are creating a fun project. 'The Material Girls' store is a must for you to visit. My friend from Yuma, Arizona comes here several times a year to shop there for her etsy store...
It is full of ideas and has tons of Charm Squares, jelly rolls etc.
I am making a quilt for our new baby grandson who is 1 week old. He came early and I wasn't finished. I am using a soft light blue minky on the back.
I hope Mr M heals quickly! :)

~♥
If you decide to see there beautiful fabrics... let me know and I will try to meet you there it is only 10 minutes away for me, and very close to the other Tai Pan.
