I'm feeling spoiled!!!

I'm kicking myself for not taking before pictures. Then you would have seen how truly hideous my bathroom floor and laundry hallway floor really was. Trust me, they were bad, not only were they ugly linoleum, but I was really worried we would have to replace the sub floor because my kids had drenched the floor so many times will bath water.
Luckily for me I have one handy dad and brother n'law. They had
some left over tile from their business and offered to come and
tile for me.

This tile is something I would have never chose, but I love it. No, my bathroom is not always this clean (rarely, to be honest). I snapped a quick picture the moment I was finished cleaning it. So now here is my question, I'd really like to paint these cabinets similar to what we did with my kitchen cabinets, but what color???

Here is my laundry hallway. They even put a little lip/ledge, just in case my washer leaked, oh and a drain underneath. I love that this tile hides EVERYTHING, if I had the money, I'd tile my entire house in it.

Soooo, if you get a minute, give me an idea on what color to paint those very pretty bathroom cabinets. Now I'm off to watch So you think you can dance. Is it just me or is the blond woman judge really mean this season?

That's beautiful tile! I think I would use a cream paint.

The blonde judge is always mean, but on the cabinet--my vote is to paint it white like the little cabinet you have hanging above your toilet. The tile looks great!

I love it! I would paint your cabinets the same color as that cabinet above your toilet. When we lived in Phoenix, our entire downstairs was tile and it was a pain! It took forever to mop, I was always sweeping, and it was kind of hard on your feet.

I put tile in my laundry room and attached bath when we had our flood. I thought it would be super cold and that I wouldn't like it but I did it for resell. I'm so glad I did! I really like it and it's not as cold as I thought it would be! Lucky you to have a dad and brother who did it. I love the lip idea too. You must have a drain under your washer and dryer. I don't so I just have to be vigilant!

Yep, I'm going with white too, to match your little cupboard! But I would've said that anyway - I've recently painted all the timber wall panels in my house and they look fantastic! Looking forward to seeing what you decide...
Best wishes,
Jenelle

Love your bathroom! Very nice!

You should have told me you were coming to Vegas! I would have loved to see you. Maybe next time. Looks like you had a nice trip. We love Cafe Rio!

Score! The tile turned out mahhhvelous!

I would paint the cabinet white. That was the first color that popped into my head.

Way to go on having awesome connections!

Love the tile. I'd go with white cabinets in the bath or match as close to the sink as possible. Jenn

I think I would have to go with a espresso brown for your cabinents. Love the tile!

Gorgeous!!! I'm jealous! We still need to get the disgusting linolium flooring out of our bathrooms & washroom. Your home is absolutely beautiful!!!

Hi Nicole,

I think your tile and bathroom is so pretty! We just got finished with a bathroom remodel. We put down ceramic tile and we painted our cabinet. It was almost exactly the same color as your cabinet. We painted ours a color called calico (a barn red/burgundy) with antiquing glaze over it! I love it! You'll be surprised at how much difference painting the cabinet will make! Good luck and have fun!

Have a great weekend!
Tammy

I re-did my boys bathroom with the same colors you have (tan & green), and I painted the cabinets a cream color. I didn't want to fork out the $$ for new hardware, so I just spray painted the old ones black. I love it! If you want to see the details, they are on my blog.

It looks so great. And I'll bet it never looks dirty. How about a vintage green? Mimi

Cream with a brown glaze would be nice if you knew how to do it. Picket did her kitchen cabinets and showed how to do it a while back. If you decide you want to try it email me and I will give you the link. LOVE the tile.

I can't stand the blond judge...she's annoying. Both rooms look great!

Those tiles look great! I've been so lucky to see them in person.

I would either lighten them up and warm up the walls and lighten the curtains or warm them up with a color that compliments the tile. How's that for an answer?

I LOVE SYTYCD but I work every WEDNESDAY night and don't have a working VCR or Tivo or DVR. I even tried to negotitate working another night. Guess I am going to have to buy something to record it because it's my favorite show evah! Love watching it with the kids and was so sad when I missed the whole season last year. :(

I'm kind of leaning towards black for your bathroom cabinet. I think it would offset nice from your counter top and the floors. Good luck!

I'm loving that tile! It looks gorgeous! Don't you hate when you forget to take a "before" picture? It happens to me ALL the time! :) About your cabinets, I would probably paint them white, to match your cabinet above the toilet. That would visually connect them I think! I can't wait to see what you decide to do! :)

I hope you are having a good weekend! :)
