Shabby Princess Valentines

One of my favorite digital scrap booking sites Shabby Princess had the cutest valentines! I had already bought valentines for my daughters class, but when I saw these I really wanted to give them a try. They have all sorts of fun stuff, candy bar wrappers, bag toppers, treat tents and lollipop covers!

I decided to do the lollipop covers for my daughters class! They were really simple. I just downloaded them, and then took it to Staples to have them printed. They had a glossy card stock on sale for like 60 cents a sheet and I was able to fit I think five on a sheet in Photoshop!

I made the candy bar wrappers for the ladies I visit teach and for my kids teachers! Just a hint, if you decide to make these, they don't wrap candy bars in tinfoil anymore, unless you buy the king size ones that I was too cheap for. I ended up wrapping the wrapped candy bars in tin foil, and then the shabby princess wrapper.

It was fun to do something a little different and more personalized this year for Valentines.

I'll be buying two more candy bars since my chocolate cravings got the better of me. Next year I'll learn to buy the candy bars until just before Valentines!

Those are so cute! I paid for and downloaded the Shabby Princess calendar a couple of years ago and then couldn't open it and make my calendars. I was so disappointed because it looked so cute on her website. I should try her out again now that I have a different computer.

Super cute! I love all the decorating ideas that you can get from digital. Maybe I should try them sometime! :) Wish that I was one of your VT people. I know that I buy candy for V day and I eat it. My trick-buy gross kinds for the kiddos. They don't care as long as they are sugar-then you don't eat it. Who wants to waste calories on gross candy?

Those are so cute. I'm debating whether or not to do these for Tyler's class. He has two classes in one room with a total of 33 kids. I don't know if I can make that many...but I still have until Friday morning and I work best under pressure....

Check them out:

I ahve been making valentines today for my grandchildren and writing them a letter of WHY we love them. Coming to your site is an inspiration.
You asked how my husband kept our trees and beds trimmed like they are. (I always love the natural look of how he does it.) He first cuts the sod out around the trees and in the shape of the beds. Some years he redefines the shape with a square or round shovel. He shakes the dirt back into the ground and throws away the roots. Each spring he hand rakes around the edge to clean out the grass roots along the edge and cleans out the seed rootings. Then each time he mows he mows he trims with a trimmer. Sometimes it is every othr time depending on how fast the grass is growing. :-)

I hope this helps!

Hey-I am pretty sure I already left a comment-but we love comments right?
I think that you should do a little turorial on using the digital stuff. I have no clue on how to do it, but would so love to know.
Ps-I finally opened an etsy store.
I have been making some Visiting Teaching Kits-they are so cute and cheap. they include a recipe, the message and a pin that you can use on your purse or coat.
I would love for you to go and check it out and give me any ideas that you might have.
Tell your friends as well.
I am going to be doing a giveaway so watch for it in the next couple of days!!
have a happy love day!!
