I LOVE candy corn! I know it's like purely sugar, but I really don't care. I don't like just any candy corn either. It's has to be Brachs. The other stuff if you ask me is junk. So, when I saw this little project over at Bien Venue I couldn't resist.
I know that I said Brachs is the best to eat. But for this garland the cheap Western Family candy corn worked much better.
I'm thinking my bows need to be a little bit longer.
It's probably way to early for a decoration like this, but for how much work it took it's staying up too early or not. Hopefully my toddler doesn't try and eat them!!!

Cute idea! I am sure both of my kids would be standing on the table trying to eat them. Aaron LOVES candy corn! Mari will eat just about anything with sugar:)
That's so pretty! I can't even find candy corn in the stores yet! I want to do some things with it, but will have to wait til I can find some!
:)

It looks great!! Using the cheaper brand will make it less tempting too.LOL
I really like that! Being a copy cat (in a good way) is a fun thing with blogging. You get to see all the great ideas and try your own at it.
I have a small tree that I would like to decorate for the holidays and this would be way cute as a garland!
How cute! I think I may copy yours. Thanks for the idea!
Oh my isn't that cute!
Very cute! I too love Brach's Candy corn.
ok-I so love it! I wisht that i could think of somewhere to put one in my house, where my kids wouldn't eat it! maybe I should just do it and put it where i want and let them eat one and then get sick and then they will never eat it again! i am thinking that I might just do that. does that make me eviL?
How long did it take?
Love it! Where did you find candy corn this early?? Must...do...this...soon...
That is so cool! I want to try that, too!!!!
What a wonderful project for my grandchildren to do! Thanks for the tip about the Western Family as we too are Brachs fans. I am glad you are a copycat!

Very cute idea!
Candy corn is Craig's favorite candy and insists on the Brachs, too.(a close second are candy hearts...also straight sugar, haha!)
By the look of things aroung blog land, your decorating timing is spot on. I can't wait to see the runner Felicia quilted for you!
Cute candy corn, and those pumpkins are really cute, Wouldn't they be cute filled with some kind of mix to give as gifts in the all? I may give that a try. I have a housewarming gift and birthday present that I need to put together. Thanks for the wonderful ideas. Jackie
I saw that on her blog and saved the idea, I'm just trying to get around to getting it done. Although I don't have a light fixture like that to hang it from so I would have to think of somewhere else to display the sweet goodness we call Fall decor! Yours turned out great! Thanks for sharing
So cute! I'm hoping to do this too...except I plan to cheat and use the faux candy corn garland I bought at TJ Maxx! I think my little ones would climb on the table and eat the candy corn if it was real!

So cute! I love candy corn too! Yum
When I was a junior in high school I made a little candy corn necklace and wore it for school picture day. I'd tell you to go look in C's yearbook but the necklace is just way too small in the picture to see it..
The smell of sugar in the house would drive me lutely nuts but I love the ieda!
That is cute!!! You are on top off the fall decorating!!!!
What a cute little garland. If you like candy corn I have a "recipe" for you. Put 3 candy corn and 1 peanut in your mouth and chew. If you like it, swallow. Mimi
Cute craft. I loved the pumpkins also.
I think you can offically decorate for Fall after Labor Day.
I can't wait to make one of these but no candy corn in store around here yet!
Great idea!!! I'm sure they'll be fine to eat even after theholiday. LOL
MAry
That is such a cute idea.
I love your edible, decorating style! That's so cute and festive looking. And, it always nice to hear about other people's candy addictions. :o)
My four year old would find a way to get it and eat it! She loves her sugar!
Love it by the way!
It really is so cute...but looks like a lot of work too. I love fall and have just started to decorate...I have so many things that are actually Thanksgiving...now I know that it really is too early for that! LOL Dianntha
Hi - just found you and love your blog. Your style is great - I plan on visiting often - and making a candy corn garland.

That is the cutest idea! But your house is ALWAYS so freakin cute!
Looks so great! I'm hoping to make this garland, too, so thanks for the brand tip! :) It's so pretty--great job!!
I didn't get the original tutorial on this garland, but I love it. How did you do it?
BTW - Go by and pick up an award for you over at my place!!
so cute! i'm looking forward to getting my fall stuff out.
Your garland is so pretty! Good idea using the cheap stuff. :o) I am going to do that project soon, I think. Did it hurt your fingers much to string all that?
TOO CUTE!! I'm going to get my girls stringing candy corns.
Okay... super duper cute! If my dog didn't eat everything in sight, and attempt to jump on the dining room table on a daily basis, I would give this a shot!
OH!
I saw this too & thought...I need to make this!!!
Perhaps this weekend I will do it.
Yours turned out so adorable.
Oh my gosh! I could not agree more about the candy corn and the Brachs! I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one. We eat a ton of those during the fall, the pumpkins too.
hey...did you have a hard time getting the brach's not to crack? is that why you said western family is best? i just tried this and broke most of them :(. i hate that. very cute idea btw...thanks for being a copycat :)! if you wouldn't mind will you bounce over to my blog and tell me how you did it? i would appreciate it SO much. i was going to contact the little lady at the other blog but i'm thinking she's a little busy right now.
Thank you so much for decorating your house for the fall. I have wanted to since the beginning of Sept. but my Hubby insist that it is to early, so I am going to show him yo blog and just say ahh phooey and do it any way ;). I enjoy your blog!
Tiff
