His and Her Scrappy Christmas Stocking Tutorial!

First if your here and haven't given up to me THANK YOU! As many people from Utah know this weekend was Holiday, so I haven't posted like I should have. Really this whole month I haven't posted like I should have, it's been a fun month with holidays and family reunions, but I'm back on track (I think).
Anyhow, I just finished another Moda Tutorial. I think it turned out pretty cute, so go on over and take a look. Oh, and if you don't want to make a pair of these stockings, I'm putting the the pair I made over in my etsy shop.

2009 Family Reunion and a Sneak Peak!

Remember me??? The blogger who fell off the face of the earth! Not reallyit's just been one of those months. I think if I had to pickthe craziest month of the year it would definitely be July. We got back this last Sunday from our Family Reunion and we all had a ton of fun so I hope you won't mind me sharing some pictures.
Here is my husband's side of the family. We comes from a family of 10 kids
(9 living) so, yes it's pretty big, a lot of people are missing too!
This seems to be the hangout place for my youngest, at least that is where he seems the
happiest (and most quiet).

The camp we went to had a ropes course which my kids LOVED. Here is the hubby helping out my daughter and son on one of the obstacles.

Check out the smile on my 2 years old face (far left), he was so excited
to be able to participate in something.
Here is my daughter, with absolutely NO FEAR! I think she did this obstacle
faster than most of the adults.

They even had a pond that we were able to spend some time at!

And of course no family reunion would be complete without the talent show. My husbands brother's family (got that) showed us all up!

Check it out, theyhave a guitar, amp, keyboard and 4 girls that can sing harmony.

Enjoying the talent show!

Here is his next favorite place to be, in the fire pit. No, there
was no fire at least not until later that night.

Yes, I was at the reunion. Just not in any pictures. I remember my first pregnancy I wanted my husband to take pictures every month to show how how big I was getting. By the time the 4th rolls around, the last thing I want is a picture showing how large I'm getting. Really, if my husband would have tried to take a picture I would have let him, but he didn't so I'm not complaining!
And just to prove I really have been working on something. I should have this project up and posted on Moda in the next week or so!

Any guesses???

A Perfect Day for a Parade!

I have to say I'm usually not a big fan of parades. When someone says parade I usually think of way hot weather, Salt Water Taffy melted all over everything, and BIG crowds. I have to say though that today we went to our city's parade and it was perfect. It was a little over cast so it wasn't to hot. And, for the first time in my life that I can remember we actually got my dad to come to the parade also. My mom came too, but we can usually talk her into things easier than we can my dad.
We had a great time and even managed to haul our butt's out of there before the water parade began, except for my daughter and hubby who wanted to get wet!
Here are the kiddos before the parade.
My kids and their cute cousins.

Just the girls (in their designer t-shirts).

Waiting sooooo patiently for someone to throw them some candy.

Sorry it's so blurry (anyone know how to fix that in photo shop?), but it's still a cute picture of my Dad and the little guy!

He's so excited that he caught a stuffed animal!

Love this picture!

Here they are after the parade showing off all their goodies!

The 4th of July pennant garland that I made last year!

Gotta love it when you find cute fabric and Wal Mart!

I think ladder back chairs make anything look cute!

This is the cute little pillow that I won last year from Amber over at the
Mcillece spot.

I hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of July. Especially all those who have sacrificed so much for out freedom, THANK YOU!!!
