My Super Duper Craft room, and a sneak peak!

Ok, when you have a 1400 square foot house and three kids there really isn't room for a craft room, but I'll just pretend!
Here is my sewing table, that conveniently can also be used as a dining room table!
Oh, and here is my fabric drawer, otherwise known as a post office box filled with fabric on an ironing board. (I know your all way jealous now!)

This here is my scrapbook shelf, also known as a shelf in my closet! It's not nearly as full now that I've gone digital! I still can't give up all my pretty paper though!

Here is my custom built craft drawers! My hubby got them from the neighbor down the street who was giving it away!

I'm not complaining, I am so thankful the rooms in my home are filled with my beautiful children. But..........don't get me wrong, someday..............I want my own craft room!

Here is a sneak peak at a project I'm working on and will post about on Wednesday! I love this spring fabric, (maybe because it's snowing outside right now, and I am soooooooooo ready for spring).

Love your "craft room!" I can relate to the lack of space, and it's awesome that you've made the closet shelves work for you! :)

Hi Nicole,
Your craft room can be anywhere, as long as you are creating and doing what you love. Your space doesn't have to be a grand place with wall to wall shelves and matching every. Don't get me wrong...if we all the had the money! We do with what we have at this point in our life. You could use your dining room as a permanent craft room, but disguise everything. If this is a true dining room (not a room you eat in every day), how often do you eat there...just on holidays?? Well, you sew and craft more than there are holidays. Use the bottom of the china hutch/cabinet for craft storage. Move your china to a safe place. If you have a buffet, do the same thing, find storage for those special things that are hidden away. Use the buffet for fabric and sewing. If you don't have those pieces of furniture, you can always stack pretty baskets in the corner and fill them with fabric. No baskets, use those same postal boxes, but paint them to match the room or decoupage them with pretty paper. From the pictures of your home that you've posted, it is beautiful, you have a knack for decorating. That dresser you painted black is perfect for in there, just fill it with your sewing. Ok I'll stop now, hope you don't mind me gabbing on like that. I just love things like this.
Have a great night,
~Karen~
ps yikes this was too long, I forgot to say I love your fabric!!

Another full day of snow! Ugh. I spent many years crafting on my kitchen table. Someday your babies will be gone and there'll be plenty of room and you'll miss them! Mimi

You make me laugh!!! My craft room is the hall way at the top of my stairs! Where it will have to remain... While my daughter and fam were living with us, it was the wide space next to my bed! Your craft room, er..I mean your lack of one, hasn't slowed you down any...LOL Can't wait to see youre sneeaky peeaky project! AND, SPRING IS COMMING!!!! Chin Up!!!!

Your craft room looks like mine :) In Boise I was spoiled and had my own craft room. Our house was just under 1500 square feet. The bedrooms were small, but there was one room left over for me, and I took the biggest. Aaron thought that wasn't fair. The room did double as a guest room.
I am so excited to see what project you are working on!

I LOVE the fabric you picked out for the spring project. Can't wait to see what you are making!

This is the first time that I actually have a craft room (plus 3 other spare rooms. I didn't plan on this!). I'm still trying to organize it. It is almost over-whelming in a way. I am very grateful to have a place. I do often find myself at the kitchen table though.
