My friend Katie over at Ritch in love gave me this award forever ago, thank you Katie, you are a sweetheart. So I'm supposed to say 7 things that make me happy, so here it goes.
1. Friday nights when my family is all together snuggled in blankets and eating popcorn while watching a silly movie that my kids picked out.2. Watching my husband say prayers with my kids at night when he puts them down to bed.
3. A clean house.
4. When my kids say, " Thanks Mom!"
5. Rocking my 19 month old to sleep.
6. Snuggling up to my hubby on a cold winter night.
7. Sunday dinner at my parents house.
Ok, so I get to pick some people now, you can just accept and then pass the award so someone else, or say 7 things to make you happy also.

Ok, I know your all just dying to know how I got rid of this ugly chord, you've probably been loosing sleep, it's just so darn exciting. Actually you've probably all already come up with this idea, and it's just taken me a while to catch on.
I took come paint that was the same color as the wall and then I painted it. Then, (this is where it gets really good) I got out the staple gun and I stapled it to the wall and painted the staples.
Much better, don't ya think!
Have a great weekend!
WOW That looks great!!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty cool. I never thought of painting my cords before. I just cursed them for being UGLY!

Since you're an expert cord hider... I'd love your advice on how to hide some cords that are hanging down from the ridiculous corner nook for my TV. We have to have our surround sound, DVR, and Xbox (Okay... don't have to... but it's there.) up in that area as well. It drive me nuts that I have cords (all on one side at least) streaming down from there... any cool ideas? I'd love to send you a pic if you're up for the challenge... let me know. :)
ReplyDeleteVery clever! I would never have thought of that. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm so impressed!!! I love how it all turned out.
ReplyDeleteYou are an expert cord hider. Great idea. Pictures look so much better without those things. Go talk to Aubrey and ask her what we're planning. Mimi
ReplyDeleteYou can hardly see the cord now, great job!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award!!
ReplyDeleteLove your cord trick!!
You're funny, but it looks cool. How'd you think of it? I would never have thought to paint a cord with regular paint. Maybe I'll have to spray paint my cords in the lamps I've painted.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I never would of thought of painting the staples! That is so funny! But it does look so much better!
ReplyDeleteI've got a Mr. Linky up now on the 80's post if your wanting to play on the 30th.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the makeover and I know it will be darling with your sisters.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has hid the cord outside on our porch entrance that way and DUH...I haven't thought about doing it inside.
I finally found the guittard chocolate chips after 5 stores. I hadn't realized how hard they were to find. I am going to try making them this week.
One more question? Did the little paper ribbons stick tot eh chocolate at the bottom of the bags?
You areso gracious to help me!
That's quite an improvement. I really need to do that in a few places too.
