My urn Thingy!

My sister n' law gave me a gift certificate for one of my favorite stores here in Utah. It's called Rod Works. The have tons of fun stuff. I took my camera to take pictures for you all, but then I wimped out. I felt too silly taking pictures with all the other customers there.

Anyhow they had this urn or whatever you want to call it. It was 30 percent off so me being the sucker I am for bargains bought it. I'm still not sure it was that great of a bargain but oh well.

They had it displayed with this round moss ball thing, I liked it, but it was a weird color green. I decided to try and do my own arrangement.

I bought this green floral Styrofoam stuff (ya like how I don't know the actual name for anything, sorry) and I cut it down to fit in the urn thing. Then I just started adding my fake greenery. And here's how it turned out.

And here's how it looks in it's new home.......

Here are some other fun things I've purchased from Rod Works over the years.......

I've seen them do all sorts of things with these rods. Mine is pretty boring, but you get the basic idea. They also have longer ones for three pictures.

I love how dust doesn't show up in pictures! A couple years ago the same sister n' law bought me those rod iron candle sticks, and then I bought the clock. And there you have it, the fun stuff I've collected from Rod Works.

  3. I loooove that rode with your children's pics hanging on it. That is so pretty. I need something like that (my oldest just had Sr. Pics taken). That would be a good way to display several different poses, huh?
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Very cute... Are those your kitchen cabinets? Are they black? How awesome if so. I have always wondered if black would work in a kitchen.

  13. I love what you have done with the rods and urn!

I'm so glad that you found my blog! I was actually born on the side of the road between Manti and Gunnison, but lived most in SLC until I was 8. After that I most lived in CA. However, my grandparents have lived in Manti their whole lives and still do. Both of their ancestors were original settlers of Sanpete county.

If your SIL would like to hear my story or just chat with someone that has been there, please give her my email. jagelees@yahoo.com

I'm also a moderator on a support site for parents of monoamniotic twins.

I hope you stop by again, and I look forward to browsing through your blog as well! :)
