Our Birthday Boy!

Yesterday my sweet boy turned 6!

I swear this picture was taken just the other day, now you are so grown up.

You've always had a great head of hair. You get it from you dad (we call it a beaver pelt it's so thick.)

This was probably like your 3rd or 4th haircut, since your first was the day we brought you home from the hospital.

You pulled such a great Elvis face!

I can't believe your halfway through kindergarten, which you love, especially your teacher and especially when she wears her purple skirt!

You wanted a picture showing off your presents.

We let you pick your favorite meal and your chose, waffles with raspberry jam, cool-whip and orange Julius.

You are such a sweet boy. I absolutely adore you. You think about others before yourself. You have the sweetest smile. You truly appreciate things that people do for you. You've always had such a tender heart, which when you were 3 and 4 and constantly got your feelings hurt it drove me crazy, but now I love it. You radiate kindness. You have such a sweet disposition about you.

You do the funniest things. The other day I told you that you had a cute nose. The next thing I knew you were looking in the mirror admiring it. I told you that you needed to be more careful with your aim while going potty. Your told me it wasn't you that missed the toilet bowl, it was your shadow. I tried to be mad, but it was just to funny!

I hope you had a wonderful birthday. We love you so much!

  1. Happy Birthday!!
I remember when we had our first son, my father in law told us to appreciate every moment with him because the time goes by so fast. At the time I remember thinking, "Whatever...I am up all night, feeding and changing diapers. The time can go as fast as it wants."
I am here to tell you that the time goes by amazingly fast. He is now 24 and I can't believe it! SO, I will pass on those same words of wisdom to you.
(Your son is quite a handsome little man, by the way! :))

  5. Happy Birthday my sweet Boy! Grandma & Grandpa love you! The other day I told him what a handsome little nose he had and he told me "I know, my Mom already told me." When I look at those baby pictures I can get over how much the baby looks like him. Can't miss with those looks!

  6. Oh, that final remark on missing the potty was precious! I laughed out loud! Kids can be so funny without even trying. Happy birthday to your little man. The time really does fly too fast, that's for sure. Before you know it he'll be leaving this cozy little nest and making one of his own....sigh...I didn't mean to make the years fly by so fast, lol! He's a cutie for sure and I'm sure it was a happy day!

  7. Happy Birthday!! Wait until he's 30 and you won't be able to believe where the time has gone. Life goes by too fast. He sounds just like our 2nd child. Tender, considerate, he'll make a great husband someday. Mimi

Thay grow up so fast. My oldest just turned 8. How does that happen.

Rachel should be starting her pinwheel quilt along today (Sat. Feb. 20). You don't have to sign up, just follow along. Hope you can do it. I can't wait to see all the different quilts.

  9. I never did look any more into pottery classes. I would really like to take one, but I am not sure I have the time for it with babysitting 2 extra kids, YW, and just family. You know how it goes. Did your sister get all moved? Are you doing ok? I don't know what I would do if my sister moved. We do need to get together soon. Remember the good old days in Logan... when we would get lunch at the sandwich shop (I can't think of the name) and take the kids to the park. Good times!
