Remember a while back when I showed you this house the "These are the house in my neighborhood tour?" Well, this house apparently sold couple months ago and the previous owners owned an antique store in Salt Lake. Well, this was an estate sale like on other. Most everything was out of my price range, but it was still fun to look around. Inside the house were the more expensive things and outside were more like the garage sale things.
Well, outside is where I found these two beauties. I'm guessing they were bed posts or legs to a table or something. To me they screamed candle holders. Why can't I think of the correct name for that? Oh, well for now they are candle holders.
I came home and spray painted them what else but..........black. The one had a large enough base that I could just set a larger candle on top, but this one I had my husband drill a hole in. He was excited because I got some new drill bits!
They look GREAT, Nicole! Nice find! Love the green with the black...
ReplyDeleteWow! I would venture to say they are table legs. The shorter of the two look very similar to the legs on my antique dining room table. Lucky you! Love the house too. Gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI actually love this old home. It's the type of style I like. What a great find for you too. I definitely would love to see updates on this house!

ReplyDeleteThose are awesome! What a cool sale! I really thonk you live in the neighborhood by one of my friend's parents....I know that seems randoom. I also get so envious when I see your awesome black cabinets!
ReplyDeleteI love how you turned something that might otherwise have gotten thrown away and found a new, creative use for it. Very creative (and cheap)!
ReplyDeleteLove 'em. We went too, but didn't get any treasures. Everything was authentic, original and crazy expensive. We did however, but a large poster to color, a wooden gun and a Santa ornament for a grand total of a dollar.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with them. Very cute. Wasn't it fun to look around in that house? I'll get you in when Nancy starts remodeling. Mimi
ReplyDeleteThe shorter of the two look very similar to my room table. Your work is gorgeous.
