It cracked me up that on my last post about this little dresser/hutch thing, like half of you asked how I was going to decorate it. It was like instinctively you new, that was the next step. So here ya go, it's nothing special, but I like it. I bet your all noticing the black cord from the lamp, I'll show you how I got rid of it in another post.
This I bought from the store down the street, Ben Franklins. I wanted something I could use for other holidays.
Your probably all really sick of hearing about the great and wonderful Tai Pan, but this is where I got this cool pumpkin. It was seven dollars.
Sorry about the blurry picture on this one. My blogging friend Tausha told me about the coolest place here in Utah called Taiwan imports, lets just say I was in heaven. The only problem is you have to have a business license, but lucky for me, my little sister has one. Anyhow, that's is where I got this cute little candle wreath. (I have no idea what it's really called)
I don't know what to call this little decoration either.
This I love. I got this one from Taiwan imports also. I think it was six or seven dollars. I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but it has beads and little leaves on it.
For the first time in my life, I am not looking forward to Christmas. I just really like my fall decorations. Heck, I like them better than my everyday decorations. I have to restrain myself though, I think I need to call it quits and save a little money!
Your decorations are adorable and I like how you redid the hutch. I really love the drawer pulls. So cute.
ReplyDeleteokay i love both those places...just wait till it gets closer to christmas for taiwan imports (you'll start looking forward to christmas again!)it's AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWe should start a support group for Fall decoration junkies...I've gone a little crazy this year, too!
ReplyDeleteWe can hold our first meeting at Pai Pan. Ha!
Such cute stuff!!!!! I know for a fact that I am a Christmas junkie when it comes to decorating. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteCute! I love those candle holders! That cabinet is just adorable! I am looking for something just like it for my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLaura :)
You did such a great job redoing that piece of furniture and your decorations are beautiful. I just went through your entire blogs reading and looking at what all you have done. Your so talented and I love your home tours. I will be checking back to see what else your up to.
ReplyDeleteI share your addiction to fall decor! Just when I think that I'm done, I find something else to make or buy, Your little hutch is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh YEAH, I forgot to tell you the garland looks cute on your chandelier and I'm so dumb and didn't even go look at the dresser! Cute, stuff, though.
ReplyDeleteI meant to tell you on the other post what a great job you did on the dresser. And I really like the decor. Do you live anywhere near a "Freds"? They always have very cute, cheap lamps. I mean cheaper than $20.
ReplyDeleteI coulldn't believe the snow. Oh, and that's exactly why I substitute. That's what I call "my" money. I use it for clothes for me or Katie or to indulge in my scrapbooking addiction.
Those are darling! I haven't heard of the other store. What kind of business license do you need? I doubt my daycare business license would do any good.
ReplyDeleteLove it. It looks so pretty the way and where you have it. You can use it to decorate with all the holidays/seasons :)
ReplyDeleteHalloween/Harvest is my FAVORTIE!
Now just keep your eity open after Halloween for stuff to be 90% off that you can use next year.
I love all of your finds. I've gotten into fall this year too. I've had to quit buying stuff, but I'm looking forward to it all going on sale so I can buy more for next year.
ReplyDeleteThe little garland/bead thing on your light cost you $4.96, at least that is how much mine cost. I love your decoration, I seem to have a slight obcession with decorating for the fall, then Christmas...you know how out of control I am decorating for Christmas. It takes me days! Well, I just want you to know that your come by it rightly!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Mom
I know what you mean! It can almost become an addiction! But you can use it for almost three months of the year, so you can use it over and over again for years to come. They look beautiful and so inviting.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is coming and it is only for 1 month of the year and look how we all go way out for that month!
I'm very very adicted. This is only my second year of seasonal decorating. I can't wait till everything goes on sale after thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the beads on the light fixture.
Cute, cute, cute! It all looks great! I love all of our fall decs and get sad to put them away, too. But, then come winter time we'll all get recharged and get hooked on winter decs from ideas in blogland I do believe!!! Happy Thursday hun~ Les
ReplyDeleteHeather,
ReplyDeleteyou found such cute stuff! I kind of have a feeling you'll be the same way at Christmas with decorations, especially when you have some spare cash to burn :) Love it all,
Melissa
Fall decorating is my FAVORITE. I have a lot (of course with the house being tore up this year the boxes will remain up in the attic) I just love the fall colors too. It just goes too fast and then it's winter. I HATE... did you hear me I said HATE.... WINTER!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to be able to buy a few things and not feel like your taking away from the family. Enjoy you deserve it :o)
Those are some really cute things...I haven't gotten into the fall decorating, but I've gotten a lot of inspiration on the web...so maybe next year I'll be on it...
ReplyDeleteThe first step is admitting the problem! ;) All I have to say is that the pics on your blog make me happy! Speaking of which!!! I tagged you with a happiness tag and an award: Come over to claim it!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I showed the table to my hubby and he wa very impressed. We have both been on the lookout for something similar....just keep looking. That's what we do. Anyways-I am laughing at you using your money to buy decor. I used to tell myself one or two key pieces every year to build a nice collection, and maybe because of blogging, or who knows what, but I have found myself really getting a lot more this fall than in the past. I would be going crazy if I had some extra money of my own! So go for it! I love to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great haul! I had to stop myself earlier this week ~ I'm getting the jitters just thinking about Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one that would rather decorate for fall more than Christmas! I like spring decorating too. I think fall is nature at it's best. I never get tired of looking at it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Love your fall decor. I love decorating for fall as well....
ReplyDeleteAwesome! It looks like you are really enjoying this season. I to am finding that I am buying more and having to put away my decor that I usually have out. I think I have to buy another bin or 2 just to store more fall decor!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the fall and by the time Thanksgiving comes you will be ready for Christmas.
Blessings,
Jody
I love fall, but I am ANXIOUS to get my Christmas decorating up!!! I am the Christmas junkie!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying my fall decorations too! This is the first year I've decorated for fall...and it has been fun. I started small...but it has grown!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean I need to stop too but its just so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your decor! I LOVE fall too! Its so fun, but I have to admit, I am DYING to decorate for the Winter!! hehe
ReplyDeleteVery cute! The dresser looks awesome with the decorations!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! Simple adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations look beuatiful!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing. I bought so much fall stuff that now I have to find a place to store it.
Your house is looking so cute. Might as well enjoy the season. It sure doesn't last very long. Where is that Taiwan place? I might have to go take a look. Mimi
ReplyDeleteYou know what??? You're in such good company here in blogland. I think we're all hopeless......in a fun way of course. ;-) wink
ReplyDeleteM.L.
You are so funny! I AM looking forward to Christmas because I am so sick of looking at the Halloween decor! I knew that would happen. That Taiwan store sounds heavenly!! Your dresser looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou have your dresser decorated so CUTE!! I LOVE everything you have done!! I am sure enjoying all of my Halloween/fall decorations this year too. I think it is because I have discovered blogging and everyone is into the same decorating and fun!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love when your post are about decor! My favorite is the beads hanging from the lights.
ReplyDeleteI've heard such good things about Tai Pan and was actually going to go down later today. My son totalled his car the other day though so I have to be here with my car so he can go to work today. I love what you did with the decorations. You've given me some good ideas!
ReplyDeleteit has been hard this year to stop decorating hasn't it? there are so many cute ideas out there... love all your decor and can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for christmas!
