I did some research and discovered a list of vitamins she could try especially the B's (which from what I understand help with the nervous system). I can't recommend it as a cure but can suggest researching it. My daughter went back to school and hasn't experienced any anxiety since taking the supplements.margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10369437750302123453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-14962030015272674632011-11-27T20:37:55.640-08:002011-11-27T20:37:55.640-08:00I'm sorry your little girl is going though suc...I'm sorry your little girl is going though such a difficult time.

I love your fabric choices, and I can't wait to see the pinwheel quilt.Kari @ The Purple Quiltapotamushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05459176382817545248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-3027729365772869632011-11-27T19:57:41.340-08:002011-11-27T19:57:41.340-08:00I'm now a follower and love the fabrics you...I'm now a follower and love the fabrics you've shown. I would love to win the "Ruby" fabric. It does make a beautiful little bag, doesn't it?
Maybe the anxiety is tied in with hormones?? I know we went through it with my daughter as well. It hit about the time she hit puberty. It always hurts when your child is suffering from anything, no matter how big or small the problems seem to be. It's much easier to deal with hurts we can see. I can certainly sympathize with you and your daughter.Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10915251128167538888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-87507777274547080952011-11-26T21:22:08.776-08:002011-11-26T21:22:08.776-08:00Bliss by Bonnie and Camille....the same designers ...Bliss by Bonnie and Camille....the same designers who designed Ruby....you had a brain fart!

I hope tings work out for your anxiety ridden child. Everyone told me I was being a bad mother because I didn't force him to do these things. As far as we know there was no bullying (started on the first day of first grade), he was just so stressed out. We pulled him from school and homeschooled him until 7th grade (this year). He is now a well rounded, happy kid with lots of friends. He only had these problems with school so this worked out for us. Have you thought of taking her to a therapist to see if she has any issues with school or anything else? It's so hard to see our kids go through these things. Breaks a Momma's heart.

Your daughter chose some wonderful fabric. I'm sure you guys will have lots of fun making her quilt togther.Robin (RsIslandCrafts)https://www.blogger.com/profile/06875986169322073281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-71151122266225949872011-11-25T13:05:52.173-08:002011-11-25T13:05:52.173-08:00I know that fish oil, Omega 3,6, and 9 have been f...I know that fish oil, Omega 3,6, and 9 have been found to be helpful with depression. My eldest daughter, also 10, doesn't have an issue with anxiety, but she is very moody and these have helped her even things out.

In grade school I cried every school day because of being bullied. It's worth looking into.

This may seem "over the top", but have you ever considered home schooling? Even just for a year? If my mom had been able to do that, things would have been much better for me and my sister. I realize it's not for everyone, but it's at least worth thinking about. Sometime taking the child out of the troublesome environment for a time until they are older and able to cope better can help.

I LOVE the fabrics from Fig Tree!

www.dewings.us/blog/Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04811005362513667448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-37996752708692895642011-11-23T12:07:46.688-08:002011-11-23T12:07:46.688-08:00I was about your daughters age when I started havi...I was about your daughters age when I started having anxiety problems. I had no idea that's what was wrong at the time, I just thought I was sick a lot but it got to where I didn't want to go to school or anywhere else. I still struggle with it but with meds am doing great. My best advice is to always be there for her (I know you are) and take all of her concerns seriously....extra TLC never hurts either. :) I never felt like my mom really understood and didn't really listen the way I wanted her too. Someone mentioned maybe something going on at school....worth looking into you. That quilt will be so special to her and be a constant reminder of your love for her!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12377383730260542408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-74155377523711509442011-11-23T08:17:49.208-08:002011-11-23T08:17:49.208-08:00So sorry to hear about your daughter's anxiety...So sorry to hear about your daughter's anxiety issues. My sister just started selling doterra oils and has told me there are several for anxiety. They are pricey but might be something to look into. I haven't personally tried them but I have tried their one for illness, on guard, and it has helped. Good luck!Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531784688960484406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-850622966956915487.post-53669849059610318072011-11-22T16:33:47.753-08:002011-11-22T16:33:47.753-08:00That second line is from Riley Blake, but I can...That second line is from Riley Blake, but I can't remember what it's called.

My 10 year old has been on medication for OCD/anxiety since he was 7. The day the Dr. prescribed it I cried, but it helped so much. He used to wash his hands so much they were completely raw. Within days after starting the meds his hands cleared up.

My 6 yr. old has a lot of anxiety also. I worry about him but he's too young for medication anyway so we just talk to him and bribe him :o)

And that last picture? Makes me want to cry. V and I made our pinwheel quilts together. Her's are not tied to going to school but with performing perfectly at every activity (from teeball, to schoolwork, to social encounters) whether or not that is even possible.

It is frustrating to see her upset when I know it's not worth getting upset over. We've talked with her numerously about taking deep breaths, cutting herself some slack, remembering to smile, and getting plenty of rest. My husband reminds me that all we can do is keep working with her and praying. I don't have any real solutions, but at least you can know you're not alone.Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06630792371167011476noreply@blogger.com
