My good friends are starting an Internet lighting company. They will be selling every kind of light you could imagine. The problem..... They are having a hard time thinking of a name. So they need your help.

1.For one entry into the drawing - Think up a great name (preferable one with the word "lighting" in it). Go to my comments and tell me what you've come up with.

2. For another entry - Go visit their website - http://www.ftdc-utah.com/ or click here. Come back here, and tell them what you think. Do you like the design, is it user friendly? Give any advice you might have.

If you want to win 2 extra entries, post about this giveaway on your blog with a link back to this post.

You don't need a blog to enter, but if you don't have a blog, PLEASE leave me an e-mail address so I have a way to get in touch with you. Winner will have 48 hours to respond.

The winner will be picked next Friday at 5:00 p.m. Good luck!!!
Remember, to be entered into the drawing, you at the very least need to come up with a name. I'm getting lots of entries without that. Thanks!!!

Are you sick of that old brick fireplace?

Then paint it!!!

I love this fireplace. My aunt painted it and this had this mantle built for it.

This isn't the greatest picture, but I wanted to show her beautiful windows, and I love these blinds. I know there is a name for them, but right now I can't think of it for the life of me.

I love the molding around them!

I wish she had some before pictures of this chair (obviously not a blogger). She painted it and had is reupholstered. I just love it.

Don't ya just want to take a nap on that comfy looking couch?

This table used to have silver legs if I remember right, she painted them black. It looks beautiful!

I love this table, but I really love the picture above it. I wish you could see it better. It's her and her two gorgeous daughters. I named my daughter after one of them, she's one of my best friends.

Isn't this picture beautiful! Her daughter and hubby adopted a little boy from Haiti! If I remember right they got him on a Thursday and then that Sunday she had a baby boy. So over night she was the mom of a 1 1/2 year old and a new baby. Their children are beautiful.

I've tried too talk her out of this baby grand. She just won't budge, I don't get it.....

Hope you've enjoyed the tour! Tomorrow I will be finishing it up. And the next home tour will be mine (I'm giving in Tausha). I've been trying to fix my blog a little (Thank you so much Rachel, actually she's been fixing it up) Can you read this font color alright? I still need to fix my header, but were getting there.

Happy Birthday to my Sweet, Beautiful Daughter!

I can't believe you are turning seven today. It seems like just the other day you were born. I had no idea how you would change my life forever. You had so much dark hair when you were born. In the hospital when the nurses would bring you too me, they always had fun little bows in your hair.

You were the sweetest little baby. I don't think I put you down for naps until you were like two because I just loved to snuggle with you on the couch, since you were my first I could.

You are such an adventurous little girl, your just like you dad. When you were little and I had young women's on Tuesday nights, your dad would put you in the backpack and take you hiking with him. You loved it, just like you still do.

Your such a little dare devil.Just a couple weeks ago, grandpa told me how when you went to the ropes course, that the instructor said you were the youngest little girl he'd ever seen do some of those activities, like climbing the 30 something foot pole.

I remember the day we took this picture, you did not want to sit still. You wanted to be climbing on the rocks in your new little dress. The first and only dress I've made you.

The day we took this picture you wanted to go sledding down the hill with our neighbors so bad. We didn't have a sled so dad let you use one of my cookie sheets.

Look at cool little you!!!

I have always loved this picture of you. You are so beautiful, I don't know how on earth me and your dad ended up with such a beautiful blond little girl.
I so wish I could stop time once in a while. You are growing up way too fast for me. I wish you could stay my sweet little girl forever sometimes.

Sometimes when I do your hair while your sitting in front of the mirror, I amazed at what a lucky mom I am to have such a sweet little girl.

I love it when 3:25 rolls around and I get to walk out side and watch you walk home from school. I love hearing about your day, and seeing all the hard work you've done that day at school.

I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father picked me to be your mom, I am soooo lucky. Do you think you could grow up just a little bit slower though? Thank you for being such a good big sister, and for helping so much with you little brothers. Thank you for picking up messes when they are not yours. I love you so much, and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!
Love,
Mom

Our Cozy Home Tour Numero Tres!

Have I mentioned how shameless I've become? Every time we go somewhere now, my daughters asks me if I'm taking our camera. I can't help it, I see something beautiful and I want to share it with all my blogging buddies out there.

So here in Utah the 24th is a Holiday. I have an Aunt with a swimming pool, so me and the family packed up our towels and sunscreen and went swimming. Well my Aunt is also an incredible decorator, so here are some pictures of her beautiful home.

This is a centerpiece for her dining room table that she made. I feel bad, this picture does not do it justice.

I love these plates and I REALLY love the bead board.

I wish I had a before picture of this chandelier. It was pretty before, but it looks totally different now. She painted it and made these cute little shades.

Yep, you guessed it. She made these drapes, aren't they incredible? Actually I'm not sure if she made them or my mom.

A close up, I really like the three coordinating fabrics that she used.

So this dining room said, she said she bought at K-mart for way cheap. She made these cute little covers to go over the chairs.

You can never have to many pretty clocks!!!

Now for a sad, sad story. Me and the hubby were given tickets to go see the Osmond's with the Tabernacle Choir on Friday. Well, guess who go sick. Soooooo, my hubby took our seven year old daughter. It's been on TV a couple of times and it was so good, I love how close their family is. When I was in college, Tom, one of the older brothers who is deaf was our mail man. He was so sweet he even taught me and all my roommates the alphabet in sign language. So, theres my claim to fame.

Random Post Friday

Sorry, I didn't have time to put together the greatest post for today, because yesterday we were doing this..........

We teach the children in our family how to drive wave runners at an early age :)
(My daughter and cute little niece)

He really did had fun, he was embarrassed I took a picture of him with his face covered w/chocolate.
Ha, you actually thought I'd show a picture of myself in a swimsuit. Yea right, If I did that you'd never come back!

I made a carrot cake for my hubby's birthday. I decided to share the recipe with you all. Don't let my mom know though because she had to do some heavy bartering to get this recipe from a neighbor that owned a little bakery shop. It is seriously the best cake.

Can you tell I've used this recipe a lot? Like a dork, I took pictures of the whole making it process, but forgot to take a picture of the finished product. One quick tip though, I don't have a food processor so it's way easier just to use these pre shredded carrots from the grocery store. It takes one whole bag.

Now just some random pictures from this week.

So this is what happens when I try blogging when the kids are not yet down for naps. Yea, wont be doing that again any time soon.

Since the kids are out of school, my daughter has been doing her own hair (she's only 6). She was so proud of this little hair do, she wanted me to take a picture.

Now just a couple photos for inspiration.........

Another family tree made by my super talented sister n' law, someday I'll get my act together and do a tutorial on this since a couple of you asked.

Have you ever heard of quilling? It's the art of rolling paper. My sister n' law made this too, I've always admired how intricate it was. You'll have to click on the picture to get a better view.

Ok, I'm going to bed now. Sorry if there are lots of typo's it's late! Have a great weekend and I'll see ya on Monday, maybe Saturday if I have time.
